At times, we are so focused on the end result we forget to remember to live for today. Having balance in our lives is very important. Taking time for our spouse, children, family, friends and pets and putting down the cell phone to focus on them helps build stronger relationships. Create opportunities to brighten each day instead of wishing it away without one single laugh, smile or hug. Become aware of the simple things in life which generate happiness. ~ Patti
How will you create opportunities to brighten each day?

We meet others who we instantly connect with. These people bring joy and friendship into our lives. They are nonjudgmental and you feel very comfortable with them. These types of friends – keep close and don’t push them away.
There may be times in our lives when we feel sad and want to be alone. We may be going through some challenges and it is hard to let others in. Be open and allow these friendships to support you through the brokenness. Sometimes it can be easy to isolate ourselves instead of letting others comfort and support us through our difficult times, but it is worse for us to be alone.
When feeling sad or broken hearted turn to things you enjoy and/or others who bring happiness to your life.
Taking your attention away from the disappointment, hurt or sadness may inspire a feeling of joy in your life.
My wish for you today is be joyful and have peace in your life. ~ Patti
Question: What friendships are important to you and why?

Today I saw this quote “Impossible is just an opinion”. We live within our thoughts sometimes believing “That is impossible” or “I am not capable of doing that”. However just think of all the different things we thought were impossible within our life time. I remember when I saw a fax machine for the first time and how I couldn’t believe it, now days there is so much more enhanced technology being developed daily. Just think if people kept thinking that is “impossible” technology would have never moved forward with what we have today. Impossible IS just an opinion. If there is something you really want in life, you will work towards finding a way to accomplish it. My wish for you is happy seeking your “impossible”. ~ Patti

Are there things in our lives we wish we could do over? I am sure all of us have things we wish we could “do over”.
How do we let go and move on? We can’t continue to live in the past. The past is gone, however we can change the things which are really bothering us by taking action, reaching out and fixing it. Telling the person we hurt “sorry”. If no longer in contact write a letter and don’t send it or say the words to ourselves to let it go. Forgive and release it. Using these techniques as the “do over” will provide peaceful thoughts and a happier life.
Question: What is your “do over” and how are you going to let it go?

Stop thinking about what you are going to say next and really be in the moment of listening. When you are too busy interrupting and expressing your opinion you miss out on connecting with others and learning new things. Active listening is a great way to work on improving struggling relationships. Give it a try and let me know how it went. ~ Patti
