Doing what’s expected is the norm.  Going the extra mile makes you stand out above the others. You’ll be noticed and greatly appreciated.  By going above and beyond demonstrates that you are a dedicated, professional and reliable employee.  Managers and Supervisors know they can count on you to complete an assignment or project.  When you do go above and beyond the call of duty others notice and will seek you out when there are job openings.  By doing more than what is expected this will further enhance your career opportunities in the future because people will notice you!
