Day 1 of the 5 Day Power of Positivity Challenge

Welcome to Day 1 of the 5 Day

Power of Positivity Challenge.

I am so excited you’re here!

This 5 Day challenge is designed to ignite positivity within. Especially if struggling with negative surroundings, or difficult circumstances, and want to add some extra positivity in your daily work and personal life.

When you think of positivity what do you imagine?

Today’s challenge is about experiencing hope in our daily lives.

Each one of us carries hope inside. Hope gives us the strength to keep going when we are not sure we can. Having hope gives us purpose and a reason to continue.  It doesn’t always reflect what the outcome will be, only what we want it to be.  Attaining hope is important when dealing with life’s gloomy situations and it pushes us through those challenging moments.

They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for. ~ Tom Bodett

What is something that you have been hoping for in your life?

Sit down, answer the question and write it somewhere you can see it throughout this 5 day challenge.

Here are some ideas of where to place your written answer:

  • Put the words on your screen saver via cell phone and computer
  • Hang the words on your refrigerator
  • Carry it in your pocket and look at it throughout the challenge
  • Tape the words to your steering wheel
  • Write it in your calendar/diary/journal
  • Draw or paint it
  • Write on your dry erase board
  • Write it on your bathroom mirror with erasable markers
  • Paint the words on a flat rock and display it in your work area
  • Get creative

Looking at it each day will inspire and encourage you.

Hope is the thing with feathers. That perches in the soul. And sings the tune without the words. And never stops at all. ~ Emily Dickinson

Being positive doesn’t mean that things always turn out the way you want them.  It’s knowing that you will be okay no matter what happens.  Hope is not giving up and continuing to live your life to the fullest!  You are unique and amazing.

The wise don’t expect to find a life worth of living; they make it that way! ~ Anonymous

Day 1 challenge is to share your HOPE in the “leave a reply” below. I would love to see your expressions of hope and maybe it will inspire others as well! ❤️

Today’s Positive Affirmation:
Hope keeps me positive!

12 Days of Inspiration ~ A Joyous Balanced Life ~ Day 7~ Change Your Outlook and Change Your World

12 Days of Inspiration ~ A Joyous Balanced Life

Day 7 ~ Change Your Outlook and Change Your World

Do you know someone who seems to always have something great happening to them? Everything comes to them with ease.  They are well-liked, and good things fall at their feet.  Why do you think that is?  What characteristics do they have?  Are they happy? Are they kind?  Do they speak well about others?  Do they have a good attitude towards life in general?

Today’s inspiration is about,  how changing your outlook changes your world.   What are the benefits of being more grateful, thankful, light-hearted, friendly, kind and positive?  Well, here are some good reasons!

  1. Positive thinking attracts good things to you.
  2. A positive outlook creates meaningful relationships.
  3. Being positive decreases depression and anxiety.
  4. Positive thoughts increase motivation, inspiration and creativity.
  5. Being positive improves the immune system.

After reading these reasons, why are we not more positive?  This is a good question to ponder.  Why is being critical, mean, sarcastic and judgmental the norm?  Why not be happy and supportive of others?  What if more people were kind, helpful, and supportive?   Would this change the world for the better?  Would people return the kindness back more willingly?  It takes one person at a time to make this change.  What about you?  Are you ready to change your outlook and change your world?

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. ~ Winston Churchill

The Takeaway:
Having a positive outlook increases motivation, creativity, better health, improves relationships and makes the world a better place.

Self Reflection:
How am I creating more positivity in my life?

Today’s Affirmation:
Positive thinking is changing me for the better!

Comments are always welcome, please feel free to share your thoughts about change your outlook and change your world

Spread the joy and share this post with your colleagues, friends, family and on your social networks for others to get inspired!

The Power of Positivity in Negative Surroundings!

The Power of Positivity in Negative Surroundings:

How do we reflect positivity when surrounded by negativity?  Negative thoughts are hazardous to our body, mind and spirit.  Constant negativity can drag us down into depression, illness and so much more.  We all go through times having a poor attitude.  Bad things happen, disappointment occurs, betrayal takes place, and life sometimes plain sucks.  How do we overcome the turmoil all around us, so we don’t get caught up in this vicious cycle?  Well, we have to identify the unpleasant behavior and know when it is happening.

How do you know when you are in a negative environment?

  1.  You feel uncomfortable, unappreciated or disrespected.
  2.  Conversations tend to make you feel upset, angry, sad, aggressive or mentally exhausted.
  3.  No motivation of wanting to get up in the morning to go to work.
  4.  Feeling sick more and more often.

Here are a few tips to halt negativity:

  1. Remove yourself from conversations which make you feel upset and mentally exhausted.  If possible, change the subject to something else.
  2. Limit contact with people who are passive/aggressive, critical, harsh, rude or sarcastic.
  3. Replace complaining and negative self-talk with something you are grateful for in life.
  4. Make deliberate choices to say no to things you don’t want to participate in.

What are the benefits of positivity:

  1. Positive thinking attracts good things in life.
  2. Having a positive outlook creates meaningful relationships.
  3. Being positive decreases depression.
  4. Positive thoughts increase motivation, inspiration and creativity.
  5. Being positive improves the immune system.

Takeaway:

Having a positive outlook increases motivation, creativity, better health, and improves relationships.  Negative thinkers tend to have more health issues than an optimist.

Reflection Question:

How can you have more positivity at work and at home?

Call to Action:

Take your answer to this question and continue to work on strategies to combat negativity in your life.
